Who we are

Brand Zhuzh is a brand design studio operated by Zachary Shubkagel Rovella (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Our website is brandzhuzh.com. You can reach us at zack@brandzhuzh.com.

What information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

• Contact & project inquiry form — name, email address, company name, website URL, and project details you share when reaching out.
• Newsletter signup — your email address when you subscribe to our mailing list.

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our site:

• Analytics data — pages visited, time on site, referral source, and general location (country/city level) via Google Analytics 4. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
• Cookies — Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use your information

• To respond to your project inquiry and communicate about potential work together.
• To send our newsletter (only if you explicitly subscribed).
• To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

• Resend — delivers transactional emails (your project inquiry to us). Your form data is transmitted securely. View Resend's privacy policy.
• Mailchimp — manages our newsletter list. When you subscribe, your email is stored in Mailchimp. View Mailchimp's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics 4 — tracks anonymized site usage. View Google's privacy policy.
• Sanity.io — our content management system. No visitor data is stored in Sanity.

Data retention

Project inquiry emails are retained in our inbox for as long as reasonably necessary for business purposes. Newsletter subscribers are retained in Mailchimp until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings (14 months by default).

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR for EU/UK residents and CCPA for California residents), including:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Objection to or restriction of processing.
• Data portability.

Children's privacy

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
